The results of the bonus-exam can be viewed here. The results of our students from Freiburg and Hannover are not available yet, because we didn't get the exams from Hannover so far. I'll give you the results as soon as possible. In Karlsruhe, 73 students wrote the test and 49 of them passed it.

Some news about the Bonus-exam: You can find your lecture-room in the following list.
For our foreigen students from Freiburg: On the bonus-exam-day (Jan, 21), the building 51 is closed. So you have to arrive until 12:45 at the entrance which has Unicard-access. Mr Christoph Hermann will let you in for writing the test.
For our foreigen students from Hannover: Please contact Mr Jan Brase for room information.

Remarks

This lecture is part of the ULI-Project and is also offered to students of the University of Hannover. It is also offered to EUCOR students.

 

Content

Internet and World Wide Web are changing our world, this core course provides the necessary background and methods for the design of central applications of the Internet, in particular in support of electronic commerce. After an introduction into Internet technology the following topics are addressed: information retrieval in the net, structure and functioning of search engines, secure communication, electronic payment systems and digital money, and - if time permits - security architectures (firewalls), data compression, distributed computing on the Internet. Active participation in the tutorials is strongly recommended. For students of information engineering and management this course belongs to area 5: "information services".
